Voice and resonance assessments can be completed in order to decide if a referral to the Voice and Resonance Clinic at the Glenrose is a good next step.
NEW! Baseline is expanding to include Occupational Therapy (OT) support for children as a wrap around service option. Please bring up any concerns with your SLP and an Ages and Stages Questionnaire can be completed to determine if an OT referral should be placed for your child.
OUT OF SCOPE SERVICES
Please note there are two areas of speech and language support that Baseline considers out of scope (because extra training is required in order to effectively provide treatment), and those are voice and/or resonance challenges and oral myofunctional disorders (e.g., tongue thrust). This clinic will complete an assessment, and diagnose challenges in these areas, and then advise around next steps in order to support a referral to another agency.
AUDIOLOGY SERVICES
Baseline is extremely fortunate to have found a home at Canadian Cancer Care for many reasons, but a big one is that there is an audiologist in the building. Hearing screens will not be completed at Baseline; however, should you want your child’s hearing to be assessed we can work to coordinate same day services. Please reach out to your SLP should you require additional information about audiology services.
