It’s a win win - money is raised for the Stollery, AND we are given the opportunity to increase people’s awareness of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC; i.e., different ways to help people express themselves). We developed a sentence strip, and we hope to shed light on one way you can use pictures to communicate. Everyone deserves a voice! Sometimes people are hard to understand, sometimes people cannot talk. Regardless of the situation, we hope that our lemonade sentence strip can help someone be heard.
